WHO WE ARE:
Our chapter was chartered in 1938 and we presently have 156 members with new
members joining every month. Ages range from 20-39+ with lots of energy,
enthusiasm, and good humor. Although the chapter counts current President of
the United States George Bush and five former Texas Governors as past members,
we come from all walks of life - - but we all have a common interest in keeping
the USA the greatest nation in the world for our children and our children's
children.
WHO WE ARE NOT:
We are not an elitist group in any sense (most of our ancestors who fought in
the Revolutionary War were hard-working farmers...good with both a plow and a
rifle). We are not a meet-eat-tell war stories organization
either. In accordance with our charter, we are solely involved with activities
that foster patriotism, love for and correctness in American history, beliefs
in liberty, our Constitution, the Bill of Rights, an independent Supreme Court,
and one unified nation under God.
MEETINGS:
Meetings are held the third Saturday each
month at 11:00 p.m. at Olive Garden 8833 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas
78757(except February and September when we have joint meetings with the
Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) at Austin Women's Club, 708 San
Antonio, starting at 10:45 a.m.). You will hear an outstanding speaker at every
meeting! Many members get to Luby's at about 11:00 a.m. for lunch and to become
better acquainted. Wives, families, and other guests are always welcome!
